Terms of Service

Platform Use at a Glance
  • Your content stays yours — you own uploads and chats.
  • No chat logs are stored unless users explicitly opt in.

By using Sol Helps ("Sol", "we", "our", or "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms govern your access to and use of our platform and services. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Use of Service

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Sol Helps for business or personal use, subject to these terms. You may not resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service without our written permission.

2. User Content & Uploads

You retain ownership of the documents and data you upload ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you represent you have the legal right to do so and you grant us permission to host, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the service to you (including powering your assistants and generating outputs).

You are solely responsible for the legality, reliability, and appropriateness of your User Content. We do not proactively monitor file contents but may remove content or restrict access upon receiving a valid rights, safety, or abuse complaint, or where required by law.

3. Account Roles & Team Access

The user who creates an account is designated the Account Owner. Admins can invite team members, manage assistants, and update billing. Members may interact with chatbots and view conversation logs where enabled. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account credentials and for maintaining their confidentiality.

4. Chat Logging & Privacy

We only log conversations in embedded widgets when the end user has opted in. Logged messages are encrypted and stored temporarily based on your plan tier (Free: up to 7 days; Starter: up to 30 days; Growth: up to 90 days; Business: up to 365 days). Conversations from the dashboard interface (app.solhelps.com/dashboard/chat) are not persistently stored.

5. Payments, Plan Changes & Cancellations

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. You may cancel at any time via the dashboard. Downgrades or cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise.

Refunds are not guaranteed and are offered at our discretion unless required by applicable law. Taxes may apply depending on your location.

6. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Upload malicious, unlawful, or infringing content
  • Use Sol Helps to generate or spread harmful or unlawful material
  • Attempt to access, probe, or reverse engineer backend systems
  • Interfere with the service, rate-limit protections, or security controls
  • Use the service in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights

High-risk use restriction: Sol Helps may not be used as the sole basis for decisions involving legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or regulated outcomes.

7. AI, Decision Support & Accuracy Disclaimer

Sol Helps provides tools to generate responses and surface patterns from user questions and content. Outputs are for informational and analytical purposes only and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading.

Sol Helps does not provide professional, legal, financial, or business advice. You are responsible for independently verifying outputs and for decisions you make based on the service.

Sol Helps does not use customer conversations, documents, or uploads to train public or proprietary AI models.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep Sol Helps available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, outages, or events beyond our reasonable control.

9. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sol Helps, its affiliates, and personnel from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your User Content, (b) your misuse of the service, or (c) your violation of these terms or applicable law.

10. Limitation of Liability

Sol Helps is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Liability cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sol Helps’ total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service will not exceed the amounts paid by you to Sol Helps for the service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or, if you have not paid any fees, AUD $100).

We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including certain consumer guarantees).

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Sol Helps if you violate these terms, if required by law, or to protect the security and integrity of the service. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your user account.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the dashboard. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Rights Complaints & Takedown Process

Sol Helps does not proactively monitor user content. If you believe that content hosted on Sol Helps infringes your intellectual property rights, confidentiality obligations, or other legal rights, please notify us with sufficient information to identify the material and explain your claim.

We will review all valid notices and, where appropriate, remove or restrict access to the content in a timely manner. Repeated or serious violations may result in account suspension or termination.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
